Scott Boggins

Driving force behind HBO's groundbreaking series 24/7

Scott Boggins is a veteran filmmaker whose diverse projects have won both critical acclaim and industry accolades. The 12-time Sports Emmy Award winner has earned distinction by producing captivating, breathtaking and meaningful work filled with rich storytelling.

Scott spent five years at HBO, serving as Coordinating Producer of HBO’s groundbreaking 24/7 series. Boggins was a driving force in the first 15 installments of 24/7, a unique and impactful four-part series that chronicles the unscripted drama leading up to a major sporting event. The build-up to the marquee event is portrayed in 24/7 through the prism of its competitors such as Manny Pacquiao/Floyd Mayweather (World Championship boxing), Jimmie Johnson (Daytona 500), and the Philadelphia Flyers and New York Rangers (NHL Winter Classic). In addition to his 24/7 creative assignments, Boggins supervised the overall production and logistical process, working with the production crew and talent, but also with athlete management, sports league and industry executives.

From 1994 to 2006, Boggins worked with NBC Olympics, as a producer with the Olympic Profile Unit, traveling throughout the world capturing remarkable stories of Olympians.  Additionally, he served as producer of the lauded GM / Chevy Moments for the Sydney, Salt Lake, Athens, and Torino Olympic Games, producing the “story of the day” for NBC’s primetime broadcast. He also worked as a segment producer on the CNBC Olympic Show, producing long-form pieces on subjects such as Katarina Witt and Bill Russell.

Boggins’ long-form projects include working as show producer for the 2005 Ironman World Championships, shot and presented documentary-style, and the Emmy-award winning documentary, America’s Heroes: The Bravest vs. The Finest.

In addition to his 12 Emmy awards, Boggins has earned an Eclipse Award and an IOC Golden Rings Award.
